EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
AIESEC
Senior executive in Project Management (March 2011 – March 2012)
I joined AIESEC relatively early in my college life studying foundation in communications here in Taylors University and was part of it for around a year. Throughout my participation in it, i was allocated into a division called Project Management, where, as its name suggests, most of the events (mostly related with an issue) planned within campus and outside of campus are planned. AIESEC also has an exchange program where students here can go overseas for a particular cause they are concerned about and also foreign students coming here to Malaysia. This gave me the opportunity to interact with students around my age from across the globe, and that really gave a new meaning to global networking.
One of the events that I actually planned was a visit to the Precious Children's Home in Petaling Jaya, which is an orphanage home that houses children ranging from 4 to 18 years of age. It was definitely an eye opening experience as I've never planned such a thing before that, and it was also greatly rewarding being able to make a difference in these children's lives. It was by far one of the things i have done in my university life that I'm particularly proud of. It showed that something as simple as talking to the kids could really brighten up their day, and that its as easy as that to make a difference.
If I were to choose a TGC (Taylor's Graduate Capabilities) that i had really gained from this experience it would be citizenship and global perspectives. Meeting people from around the world really opens up your mind about things, and the different perspectives people from different cultures could have. Other than that, communication is another key skill i developed here as I had to not only manage myself but also plan events with a team of other students.

PIANO
I have been learning piano since the age of 6 and have finished all 8 grades a few years ago. It's still one of the things I do when I have the time, and I do wish to further use the knowledge I have gotten from this in my future pursuits.
